The youth wing of the National Citizen Party (NCP) is set to officially launch on May 16 under the name "Jatiya Juboshokti".
The launch event will take place at Shaheed Abrar Fahad Avenue in Gulistan, Dhaka.
The announcement was made on Tuesday (May 13) at a press conference held at Rupayan Tower in Banglamotor, organized by the coordinators of NCP’s youth wing.
Among those present at the event were Nasiruddin Patwari, NCP’s Chief Coordinator, as well as Tariqul Islam, SM Shahriar, Tuhin Mahmud, and Nahida Bushra, who are all youth wing coordinators.
Nasiruddin Patwari stated that since the NCP’s formation on February 28, the party has been engaging with people across various districts to gather input on how best to establish the youth wing.
He emphasized that just as the student group "Ganatantik Chhatroshokti" played a pivotal leadership role during the July uprising, Jatiya Juboshokti aims to lead Bangladesh into a new era of progress and transformation.
Patwari added, “The current socio-political environment in Bangladesh is one that only comes around once in a century. With 40% of the country’s population being youth, there is no alternative but to organize this strength to ensure meaningful change.”
